Senior Devops Engineer

About the role As a Devops Engineer at Sandbox Kids you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure, working with developers to deploy and manage code changes. You will also be responsible for ensuring that systems are up and running as smoothly as possible. To be successful in this role, we expect a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background. This is a fully remote position. What you will be doing: Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of applications. Automation: Streamline and automate operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Monitoring and Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems. Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes. Security: Implement and enforce security best practices in all aspects of the infrastructure and application deployment. Environment Management: Manage and optimize development, testing, and production environments to support the needs of the organization. Agile Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced, Agile development environment where requirements and priorities may change rapidly. Manage technical debts and work on legacy systems sunset and migration. Work in a light and collaborative environment, mediating eventual conflicts and being a facilitator with other areas. What you´ll need to succeed in this role: 5 years of proven hands-on experience in a DevOps or similar role. Experience with Cloud Platforms: Proficient in one or more cloud platforms (AWS is required, GCP is desirable) with a strong understanding of cloud-native services. Able to take ownership of the production cloud environments. Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Shell, or Ruby. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Proficient with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging solutions (ELK stack). Strong understanding and implementation of security best practices in a DevOps environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Easy to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, and willingness to learn new technologies. Fluency in English to work with a global team. Qualifications Higher Education (Computer Science, Software Engineering or related Fields) Differentials: Knowledge of programming languages like Java, Go, or Node.js is a plus.
