Learn more at www.descartes.com. We’re growing fast and invite you to join our amazing team. We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to complete our AI/ML team at Descartes Systems Group. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the data science initiatives, leading the design and implementation of AI/ML solutions, and fostering innovation across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Develop, validate, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate prototypes into production-ready solutions, working closely with software engineers and product managers. Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes in logistics scenarios. Help the implementation of our data lake infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Conduct data preprocessing, including data cleaning, data transformation, and data integration. Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends in AI/ML. Communicate results and ideas to key decision-makers. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in AI and ML, with a proven track record of building and deploying AI and ML models in real-world applications. Minimum 1 year of experience in Python programming for data analysis, modeling, and software development. Fluent in English, with excellent communication and presentation skills. Nice to Have: Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese, enabling effective communication with our diverse customer base.
