Purpose: The Johnson and Johnson TS EDGE is currently seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team. We at EDGE develop, design, and deliver high-quality business applications, and software solutions to meet J&J business technology requirements. Our offices are newly crafted, specifically to accommodate Scrum development, self-organizing and autonomous teams in an open and highly collaborative environment. The professional will be responsible for providing reliable and high-quality Enterprise web solutions on top of low-code platforms. This individual requires the use of specialized knowledge and skills, problem-solving techniques, challenge the status quo, deliver innovation, and resolve how to best support the business through the effective use of technology. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software engineering, extensive experience with AWS tools and Microservices architecture, and a solid understanding of Low-Code development platforms. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership skills to drive our engineering projects to success while managing and mentoring a team of engineers. You will be responsible for: Technical Leadership: • Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions. • Use AWS tools to architect and manage scalable, reliable, and secure applications. • Implement and coordinate Microservices architecture to ensure modular, maintainable, and efficient systems. • Leverage Low-Code platforms to accelerate development processes and empower business users. People Management: • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, encouraging a collaborative and impactful work environment. • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support continuous professional growth. Partner Management: • Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other partners, to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. • Effectively communicate project status, technical challenges, and opportunities to partners at different levels. Team Collaboration: • Promote a team-oriented culture, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and joint problem-solving. • Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative planning sessions.Technical Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience in software engineering with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices. • Proficiency in AWS tools and services, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment. • Expertise in Microservices architecture, including design, development, and maintenance. • Experience with Low-Code platforms and tools, understanding their strengths and limitations. Soft Skills: • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a focus on fostering a positive and productive work environment. • Excellent partners management skills, with the ability to understand and align business and technical requirements. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with team members and collaborators at all levels. • A great teammate with a collaborative attitude and a passion for solving complex problems.
