Senior Back-End Developer
Description:
Quartile’s New Business Unit is looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join our innovative team! The Senior Back End Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the back end of our application, which includes login functionality, API management, Azure stack integration, CosmosDB, streaming chat application, white label interface, testing, and security. The Back End Developer will work closely with our front-end developers, data engineers, AI engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our AI-powered solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy back-end services using languages such as Node.js, Python or Scala Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for login functionality using OAuth, OpenID, SSO or other industry-standard protocols Develop and maintain APIs using API Management (APIM) to integrate with various AI models and services Design and implement data storage and retrieval mechanisms using CosmosDB, ensuring high performance, scalability, and data integrity Develop and maintain real-time streaming chat application using WebSockets, WebRTC, or other technologies Implement white label interface for clients, ensuring customization and branding requirements are met Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of back-end services with front-end applications Develop and maintain automated tests, ensuring high-quality and reliable back-end services Ensure back-end services are secure, scalable, and meet industry-standard security and compliance requirements Collaborate with DevOps team to ensure deployment and monitoring of back-end services in Azure stack Troubleshoot and resolve issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing fixes and improvements Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to improve back-end services Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field At least 3+ years of experience in back-end development with languages such as Node.js, Python or Scala Experience with Azure stack, including Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure CosmosDB Experience with API Management (APIM) and API design principles Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth and OpenID Experience with real-time streaming technologies, such as WebSockets, WebRTC, or socket.io Experience with white label interface development and customization Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and data storage solutions Experience with automated testing frameworks, such as Jest, Pytest, or xUnit Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, and OWASP Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams Knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes Experience with cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins Strong understanding of microservices architecture and service-oriented architecture (SOA) Experience with messaging queues, such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus Why apply?
